For superintendents and curriculum directors

Built for your teachers. Cleared by your procurement team.

Veradic grades homework, surfaces integrity concerns early, and gives every student unlimited guided practice — all under teacher control. The compliance, paperwork, and pilot path are documented below.

Compliance & data isolation

Every law your district lawyer asks about — answered.

We’ve done the paperwork before. Here’s what we do and what it means for you, in plain English.

FERPA

We act as a school official under your district's direction. Student work and records stay under your control; we access them only to provide the service you've contracted for.

No separate parental consent required for FERPA-covered use.

COPPA

We rely on the school-consent exception that all classroom-deployed ed-tech uses for students under 13 — your district consents on parents' behalf for educational use.

Standard for K-12 classroom deployments.

NDPA standard template

We sign the National Data Privacy Agreement template most US districts already use. Send us your filled version and we'll countersign.

No bespoke negotiation needed for most districts.

State-specific addenda

We work through state-specific data-privacy laws on request: NY Education Law §2-d, CA SOPIPA, IL SOPPA, and others.

Send us the addendum your state requires; we'll redline it.

Never trained on

Student work, conversations with the AI tutor, integrity-check transcripts, and grades are never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. Period.

Your students' data does not leave your control.

School-controlled record

All student-generated content is treated as an education record under your district's policies. You can export, audit, or delete it at any time.

Standard FERPA recordkeeping and retention applies.

Federal compliance, line by line

The checklist your procurement team runs.

Every federal requirement Veradic is asked about in district procurement, with how we comply and where to verify it.

FERPA

Veradic acts as a school official under district direction. Student education records stay under district control and are used only to provide the contracted service.

Privacy Policy
COPPA

For students under 13, Veradic relies on the school-consent exception standard for classroom-deployed ed-tech.

Privacy Policy
CIPA

Internet filtering and minor-protection controls are a district-side responsibility under CIPA. Veradic does not bypass or interfere with district filtering.

District-side responsibility
ADA / WCAG 2.1 AA

Veradic is built on standard accessible web technology — semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, and accessible color contrast.

Accessibility statement — request
Encryption at rest

All stored data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption provided by our cloud infrastructure.

Trust & Security
Encryption in transit

All traffic between Veradic and user devices is encrypted in transit using current TLS standards. HTTPS is enforced platform-wide.

Trust & Security
Role-based access control

Students, teachers, and administrators have scoped access. Cross-account access is prevented at the data layer.

Trust & Security
Breach notification

Veradic notifies affected districts within 72 hours of a confirmed data security incident, with a written summary of impact and remediation.

Trust & Security
Data Privacy Agreement

Veradic signs the NDPA standard template most US districts use. Send your filled version and we countersign; state-specific addenda available on request.

DPA — request

State-specific privacy laws — New York Education Law §2-d, California SOPIPA, Illinois SOPPA, and others. We work through each on request. Send us your state’s addendum and we’ll redline within 5 business days. Contact support@veradicai.com.

Data hosting & model safety

Where the data lives. How the model behaves.

The two questions district counsel asks first, in plain English.

Data hosting & retention

  • Student and school data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in United States data centers. Backups are encrypted at rest.
  • Schools can request a full data export or deletion at any time. We don’t hold student records hostage.
  • On account closure, identifiable data is deleted within 30 days. We retain only the anonymized aggregates we need to keep the service running.
  • We don’t build advertising profiles. We don’t sell data. Identifiable student data isn’t shared with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers needed to operate the service.

Model safety & content moderation

  • Veradic runs on top of Anthropic’s Claude with a classroom-safety system prompt layered on. The model is instructed to never hand students the final answer directly, refuse off-topic conversations, and decline requests that would help a student cheat.
  • In school mode, students cannot upload arbitrary photos or chat freely with the AI. They can only work on problems from their teacher’s approved bank.
  • This closes the common jailbreak vectors you see with consumer chatbots — there’s no general-purpose chat surface for students to misuse.
Deployment

Live with students in a week. Or a day.

No SSO project. No PII spreadsheet. No IT ticket.

  1. 1

    We create your school account

We handle the initial setup. You give us your school name and the teachers who'll be invited.

  2. 2

    Teachers receive invites

Each teacher gets a single email and a 5-minute setup. They organize their courses and sections.

  3. 3

Students join with a 6-character code

No student emails required. No district SSO integration required. Teachers share a code, students enter it.

  4. 4

    First homework set goes live

Most teachers run their first integrity-checked assignment within a week — same day if motivated.

  5. 5

You can pilot a single classroom first

Run with one teacher, one class. See the data, sign the paperwork, then expand on your timeline.

Editorial note · Pilot data

Real pilot data coming Fall 2026.

We’re running pilots with select classrooms now. We’ll publish hours-saved, integrity-flag rate, and student-outcome data here as it lands — with sources, sample sizes, and the districts who let us name them.

We’d rather show you nothing than show you fabricated numbers.

Paperwork

Send us what your district uses. We’ve seen it.

We don’t make districts use our paperwork. We work through yours.

  • Standard NDPA template, signed and countersigned
  • FERPA Data Processing Agreement on request
  • COPPA school-consent letters (template provided)
  • State-specific addenda (NY 2-d, CA SOPIPA, IL SOPPA, etc.)
  • District-custom riders, redlined and returned within 5 business days
  • Annual data-handling audit summary on request

Email us your district’s paperwork

We’ll read it and reply within 5 business days. Most districts get a fully countersigned package in under two weeks.
